Before and after photo of weekend project: I sanded the frame with fine sandpaper to get rid of some of the dark stain, then I used crème wax and buffed. I cleaned the oil painting by using the white part of white bread, wadded it into a ball and used it like an eraser. Voila! The painting is from 1947 and on the back of the frame it says it was given as a gift in 1999. I am sure the muddy antiquing glaze was added then. The difference isn't major--just lighter. What was your weekend project?

One of my Weekend In The Hamptons projects. I love the oil painting, but not the color of the frame...to be continued.

Here is my other Weekend In The Hamptons project. A Vintage $5 veggie bin with lots of rust--what was I thinking??....to be continued.
After photo of veggie bin. I rubbed wood food safe cleaner on interior of bins.

Huge Long Island
zucchini sliced on the grill. Seasoning salt (Red Robin) then sprayed both sides with oil. Delish. Even the seeds from this big Momma.

Hydrangea on Spikey Flower Frog

Great way to slowly dry out Hydrangeas to keep as much color as possible as a dried flower.
