I'm dreaming of what to put in my shop for's fun to think ahead to the next season while sitting in front of a roaring fire with a mug of hot chocolate...

Before and after photo of weekend project: I sanded the frame with fine sandpaper to get rid of some of the dark stain, then I used crème wax and buffed. I cleaned the oil painting by using the white part of white bread, wadded it into a ball and used it like an eraser. Voila! The painting is from 1947 and on the back of the frame it says it was given as a gift in 1999. I am sure the muddy antiquing glaze was added then. The difference isn't major--just lighter. What was your weekend project?
