Weekend In The Hamptons: Welcome to Weekend In The Hamptons. The Hamptons is the setting for my cozy mystery series: A Hamptons Home and Garden Mystery. My first book in my Hamptons Home and Garden Series is Better Homes and Corpses from Berkley Prime Crime (Penguin Random House) I spend every weekend I can on the easternmost tip of Long Island. I have a fondness for Montauk, perhaps it's because of my Michigan roots--sandy beaches (Great Lakes) and the laid-back atmosphere and warm salt-of-the-earth locals. If I need a dose of celeb sightings or gourmet meals, East Hampton is only a few miles away. Montauk also has its fair share of top restaurants to satisfy any foodie's palate. I hope this will be a place you can kick-back and get into the weekend vibe, share stories and blessings and most important, have fun! Kathy
